Well, wouldn't you?

The next artist/fashionista that I will present to you is well known all across the world for her catchy chorus's, crazy outfits and her I don't care attitude. If you were to have a chance to have it all, wouldn't you do it unlike any other?

Lady Gaga.
Real Name: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta
Born: 1986
Records: One, The Fame

Gaga got her start when she was signed in 2005 to Def Jam Records. Sadly, she was later dropped from this label without releasing any full length albums. Later she would be discovered by Interscope records and this is where she took off.

She started as a songwriter, creating hits for artists such as, "the pussy cat dolls'', "Fergie", "Britney Spears", as well as "New Kids on the Block".

Her stage name or nickname came from a producer comparing her vocal style to that of Freddie Mercury of Queen. They took the name from, "Radio Gaga".

Her hit album, "The Fame" has so far released several singles and all have been hits on radio and television. Her music videos are creative and outrageous both with cinematic and outfits.
She's definitely an artist to watch if you haven't already because this girl is anything but a one hit wonder.

I think we should be best friends

I have nothing but tremendous amounts of respect for this person, Zooey Deschanel. Not only is she an amazing actress but she is also 50% of the band She & Him. Coincidentally the other half of the band is M.Ward who makes up the "Him" part.

Most of you will probably know her from the movie, "Elf" with Will Farrell. Zooey plays Jovie who works as an elf in santa's workshop at a major department store in New York City. Her character ends up falling in love with "Buddy", Will Farrell and they move up to the North Pole. Ooops, I just ruined the movie for you..

Zooeys band has a folk-style to it and they have released one album in their career so far. What I can say about Zooey is that unlike most other actress turned musicians or musicians turned actors, she genuinely has the talent to have both careers be successful. I'm not even sure which of her paths I prefer. I definitely like the genuine aspect of her band and how they don't seem to sound like anyone else but, I can still group them into a category if they were to tour with other bands.

There first album, "Volume One" has been out for quite a while and boasts a lot of catchy hits. Head over to their myspace so you can get a small sample of what to expect from this small but extraordinary duo! http://www.myspace.com/sheandhim

Jimmy Choo and Gossip Girl

If you are a fan of the television show, "Gossip Girl" and are a girl or, well you could be a cross dressing boy, who knows? You should be pretty pumped for September! Designer Anna Sui has created a line of clothes inspired by each of the main female characters of the hit show! The line is supposed to launch on September 13th at Target stores all over the U
.S.A. The line only has about a 5-6 week run in the stores and I'm not sure if Anna is going to continue to design more clothing for the line. By the looks of the first few sets of outfits they seem to be more fall/winter inspired so hopefully, she continues to design and create a spring/summer 2010 line! Here's some pictures of the first few outfits.

From left to right; Blair Waldorf, Jenny Humphrey, Serena van der woodsen, Venessa Abrams.

Those are the first 4 images that were released and I have to say that the Serena outfit is the only one that appeals to me to the point that I would actually wear it. Blairs is to doily looking and the other two, well yeah. Here's another 4 images released with new outfits.

Second batch of outfits released.

Left to Right is the same as the above picture. I like this batch of outfits a lot more and can see myself wearing most if not all of these outfits. The only t
hing Target hasn't released yet is the estimated price for t
hese items. I know the price wont break the bank but it would be nice to know how much money I'm supposed to save up for this!

Speaking of knowing the price of clothing. I think we all know how amazing Jimmy Choo shoes are and we all know how ridiculously expensive they are also. Well, I have news for you! Jimmy Choo has partnered up with H & M to release a line of shoes and handbags exclusively in stores! The shoes are estimated to still cost around $80+ for pumps and over $200 for boots but from the original retail prices of this line ranging from $300-$2,000+ this is ridiculously inexpensive.

Sneak peak at two of the shoes to be released in the fall!

It just gets better with age.

Michael Jackson's funeral/tribute was today, I can safely assume that the area around the staples center in Los Angeles, California is much like a zoo right now. I bet the paparazzi are having their day snapping pictures of Michael's "children" without them wearing those goofy masks he always had them wear.

Martin Streek passed away today. If you don't know who he is, you should. Streek was a radio host on 102.1 The Edge, most commonly known for his Thursday Top 30 show that he was recently "let go" from. Allegedly he committed suicide and he left a facebook status/suicide note behind. Apparently, no one knew why he did it or that h
e had planned to do it which sucks even more.

Enough with the funerals and sudden deaths. I am super excited about this album, so excited that i just HAD to get a copy of it from the internet before the release date in one week. The band; Billy Talent. They've already put out 2 albums enti
tled, "Billy Talent" and, "Billy Talent II". Well, the boys this year are here to bring you the third installment, "Billy Talent III". It has vibes more of their second album and I'm sure many will say that they have "sold out" or "suck". That's fine, I mean your opinion is just that--your own. To those that have already given up on the band I ask, please please please, give them another shot. You won't be disappointed with this album, trust me. I'm listening to it right as I am writing this and it will definitely be what I listen to while driving.

The first song, Devil on my shoulder starts off with a catchy guitar riff that is promising. I feel the vibe of "Devil in a midnight mass". Coincidentally they both speak of the same topic and both have "devil" in the song title. Although there are similarities to the second album, their sound has changed and seems to be a lot heavier than their other stuff but, nonetheless still catchy as ever. This song will definitely be a hit if released as a single.

Even though most of the album does have a heavier sound, we are still graced with slower and softer songs such as, White Sparrows. This song is nothing short of fantastic. I think what I like most about this band is that each and every song is a story. If you read the lyrics or even just listen to the song you will be taken through a life problem or seeing something in the perspective of someone else. It's pretty cool, I must
say. Although the songs are usually about something that is depressing, I don't feel depressed. Have you ever listened to a song that changed the way you felt? I'd expect to feel sad after listening to songs that were sad but with Billy Talent I dont.

Turn your back, is a song the band did with Anti-Flag, whom I love. I think it's really exciting when bands collaborate on music, especially since anti-flag are American and Billy Talent are Canadian. Definitely one of my favourite songs right now if I had to pick. But, my favourite song is The Dead Can't Testify. Something about this song just sticks in my head to where I hum or sing it everywhere.

If you haven't checked out the band ever, or have and stopped listening to them. I'm urging you to go out and purchase this album! I am definitely going out a getting a copy of the album when it drops. Even with all the songs right now, I have to support this band and Canadian Music. These 4 guys are doing great things for the canadian music scene and are really showing the world that Canada has what it takes! Way to go guys! =) The album officially drops in Canada July 14th!

Heroes and weird rolled up pants? OH MY!

Hello all in blogging land, 'tis I here, Nila.

The weather has been absolutely INSANE over the past two weeks, if it's not 100 degrees out, it's cloudy and raining, or thunderstorms, or even--HAIL! Today was the most intense/insane storm I think I've ever witnessed before in the history of life. It felt like there was going to be an Ice Tornado hitting the house because the hail was so big and was being whipped around in every which way direction. Hopefully, the weather picks up to a nice 28Âșc again without any clouds in the sky!

Question: What is this new trend of rolling up pants? Look! What is attractive about this style? It looks like you will be going out and digging clams! I feel like saying, "where's the flood" to anyone I see rocking these pants.
I think we need to keep skinny jeans in style
and bring back the bellbottoms, total hippy style!
Actually, I think bellbottoms would be a good look with the overly-long shirts that have been in style for quite some time with a fedora hat. Hmm....have I coined my new fashion sense? Perhaps?

Now, there is a little t.v show called, "Heroes" that I'm sure most, if not, all of you have heard of or watched. Well, I think it's fantastic! I'm really into the fact that it's about human evolution, especially because I totally believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution because it makes sense and there is proof of it. Now for the show, there really isn't any rock hard proof that we can evolve this way, but I think it's cool to imagine that we could one day! I mean, how awesome would it be to be able to grow back a limb like lizards can? I don't think we can ever escape gravity though so flying is out of the question, at least without a plane--for now. The actors in the show are pretty solid! There's Zachary Quinto who played "Spock" in the new Star Trek film. He plays a guy named, "Sylar" in the show , who is basically one of the most intense/mean villains I've ever seen on t.v! Hayden Panittiere is also in the show, I have a lot more respect for her now that not only is she an actress but she is a leading activist in animal rights! woo! Ali Larter has an intense role inthe show, her character or well...characters? Well, they are pure evil! But she still has a good side but I won't ruin it for you who have not seen! Noah Gray-Cabey plays an adorable Micah Sanders who is wise beyond his years! He is a promising actor for when he gets older! Noah had already been in My Wife and Kids as the child piano prodigy that dated Katie, cute!!
